We’re preparing for the much awaited return of the UFC as some of their biggest stars enter the octagon for UFC 249. Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje headline Saturday night’s card from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
The event will take place behind closed doors but will be aired to millions around the world all eagerly awaiting the return of live sports action.
Tony Ferguson vs Justin Gaethje
1AM Sunday 10th May
The headline event sees ‘El Cucuy’ Tony Ferguson take on Justin Gaethje. Ferguson will look to extend his unbeaten run to 13 having not lost since 2012. Fans of Ferguson will be confident that the 36-year-old can continue his excellent run of form which includes a TKO win over Cowboy Cerrone at UFC 238.
Gaethje is the big underdog in this one. You can back him to win at +145 with CanPlay. The Arizona fighter is known for his knockout power and he has won his last three bout by KO.
The most likely outcome is a Ferguson win by submission. That’s available at a reasonably priced +225.

Henry Cejudo vs Dominick Cruz
00:30AM Sunday 10th May
Directly preceding Saturday night’s big fight we have the evenly matched battle between Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz.
Olympic Gold Medalist and current UFC Bantamweight champion, Cejudo is a tough match-up for anyone. He is favoured with sportsbooks and the bettors at the moment. The fact that Dominick Cruz has not fought for four years has had a major impact on the betting. Does he still have the legs to go toe-to-toe for five rounds?
Cruz has spent the last few years recuperating from injuries and it remains to be seen how he will fare inside the octagon on Saturday. However, at +170 with CanPlay, he is well worth a look. Cruz is a legitimate UFC legend and he could become only the second fighter to win any weight class belt three times (Randy Couture – Heavyweight) on Saturday.
Cruz has a significant size advantage. He stands four inches taller than his opponent at 5’8″ and is a powerful striker. If the fight goes to the ground then Beijing 2008 gold medalist will have the upper hand but we’re tipping Cruz to prevail and reclaim his title on Saturday.
Francis Ngannou vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik
Midnight Sunday 10th May
Viewers at home will be sure to enjoy this one as two of the biggest fighters in the UFC face-off in Jacksonville. Perhaps this fight reflects the global reach of the UFC with the Cameroonian Ngannou meeting Surinamese Rozenstruik in the octagon.
We’re certainly looking forward to it and the betting is worth a look too. Despite having a perfect 10-0 record in the UFC, Jairzinho Rozenstruik is still available to back at +220 with CanPlay. This probably shows how dominant Ngannou has been in his last three fights.
He bounced back from the first two defeats of his career with consecutive first round KO victories over Cain Velasquez, Curtis Blaydes and Junior dos Santos.
We think this one could pan out with the same method of victory. Bet on Francis Ngannou to win by KO/TKO or Submission in the First Round at +175 with CanPlay.
