Let me tell you a little story about a franchise called the Los Angeles Chargers. Perhaps more important than the actual outcome of the Super Bowl is the emotional support given to the fans of the Bolts, as they frequently find incredible ways to win.
This week may mark the midway point of this particular NFL season, but it feels like the Chargers are in one continuous cycle of pain when it comes to results.
They found yet another way to lose this week – fumbling on the one-yard line when it looked for everything that they were going to run out winners.
Ah, the NFL.
Cleveland Browns (+13) @ New England Patriots: -110
27th October 4:25PM
The thing about these games is that nobody ever wants to back against the Patriots, but as I always remind you – sometimes you have forget who the teams are and just focus solely on the context.
If you created lines based solely on the reputation of the teams involved, you would be broke. Yes, the Patriots are going to win this game, but they’re prone to some garbage time concessions, too.
Even still, here’s one team coming off a bye going up against a team who just played on Monday Night Football.
While the Jets test was barely that, football fatigue can set in to a team who haven’t had a bye yet, especially on a short week – and Cleveland need a win in a bad way. Aggressive play-calling is how you beat the Patriots and Kitchens will be forced into doing exactly that.

Seattle Seahawks (-3.5) @ Atlanta Falcons: -110
27th October 1PM
Oh, boyo.
A few bookies have suspended this line a number of times due to line fluctuations. It seems to have settled at 3.5, and let me tell you – I’d give the Falcons a touchdown here and still not be tempted by them.
Matt Ryan is a middling quarterback, and even still, he’s probably out for this game.
Seattle are coming off the back of an embarrassing loss to Baltimore and they’re not a team let off lightly coaching staff after a failure. Expect their heralded running game to carve a huge gap in that Atlanta defensive front.
Once they lead early, it’s game over. You also need a to remember – Atlanta were a fourth down screen away from going 0-7 at this point.
Dan Quinn’s job is on the line and nobody in that locker room is willing to fight for him.
New York Jets (+5.5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars: -107
27th October 1PM
This line is harsh on the Jets, although it’s somewhat understandable given they’re on the road on a short week.
However, Darnold was mortified in New England, thanks to some awful editorial judgement from the Mic’d Up crew. He will be out to prove he’s no disgrace and the Jaguars are down their primary cornerback in Jalen Ramsey.
I’m sure he’ll be happy in his new home, but his old one will miss him terribly, starting with New York’s many options at wideout.
We’re still awaiting Gardner Minshew’s collapse, and this could be the game that exposes him, especially with Quinnen Williams’ pressure up the gut.
