Week two is in the books and some of the Super Bowl betting favourites have already laid down a marker for the season. The Chiefs, Ravens, Packers, Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams have all impressed with 2-0 starts. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady, former partners now rivals, have led their franchises to difficult 1-1 starts although it wouldn’t be wise to rule either the Patriots or the Buccaneers out at this early stage of the season.
The Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens is the standout fixture of this week’s schedule although there is plenty of other top games on offer.
Let’s take a look at this week’s games.
Las Vegas Raiders @ New England Patriots (-6): -111
Sunday 27th September 2020 1PM
Contrasting fortunes for these two franchises in Week 3. The Silver and Black opened the new Allegiant Stadium with a 34-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. On Sunday, the Patriots came up just short against the Seahawks.
Cam Newton came up just short on the final play of the game against the Seahawks as Pete Carroll’s team solidified their Super Bowl credentials with a 35-30 win. Russell Wilson was the driving force behind that win throwing for 5 TDs.
Bill Belichick will be much more comfortable coming up against Derek Carr and the Raiders this weekend. The Fresno State alum has only recorded one TD in his two games against the Patriots in his career.
The Raiders have to make a cross-country trip on a short week which makes their task all that bit harder. Patriots (-6) could be the pick of the week at -111 with CanPlay.
Dallas Cowboys (+5) @ Seattle Seahawks: -108
Sunday 27th September 2020 4:25PM
The Seattle Seahawks will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season with a win over NFC rivals Dallas Cowboys at CenturyLink Field on Sunday afternoon. Home advantage is usually very important in Seattle and a 5 point line would seem fair. However, due to COVID restrictions, not one person from Seattle’s famous fan base will be allowed to cheer their team on inside the stadium. Will that play into Dallas’ hands? That remains to be seen but one thing we do know is that the Cowboys have one of the best QB/RB pairings in the league with Dak Prescott and Zeke Elliot.
The Cowboys lost their opener by three to the Rams before beating the Falcons on a scoreline of 40-39 last week. Another close game is in prospect this weekend. Back the Cowboys (+5) with CanPlay.
Kansas City Chiefs (+3) @ Baltimore Ravens: +110
Monday 28th September 2020 8:15PM
Most football fans will have marked this one in their calendar when the schedule was released. 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson vs. 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes. Last year’s Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs vs. this year’s Super Bowl favourites Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore are deservedly favourites for the Super Bowl. Jackson is a supreme talent and John Harbaugh has led the Ravens to the promised land before.
The Chiefs will not be easily dethroned though and they will be confident heading to Maryland on Monday night. Mahomes has thrown for 5 TDs and O interceptions in the opening two rounds while rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has impressed.
The Chiefs with a field goal advantage will interest plenty of bettors and you can back that at +110 with CanPlay.
