The Call of Duty League (CDL) has changed approach to the LAN type play which they usually use. Now opting for online hosted games, the next event is taking place on Friday 24th of April. There are 3 game modes available for the pro players. The game modes include Hardpoint, Domination as well as Search & Destroy. The teams are separated into two groups of four teams. Furthermore, the teams will compete until four teams have won at least two matches.
From then on, the teams that advanced will play in a single-elimination bracket to determine the event winner. Each win for a team will earn them 10 points. The overall event winners will then receive 10 extra bonus points.
The current standings show that the Chicago Huntsmen are on top of the overall league with 110 CDL points. There are also 3 teams just 10 CDL points off the Huntsmen. These include Minnesota Rokkr, Dallas Empire and Florida Mutineers. Who should Chicago be most afraid of closing the gap?
Atlanta FaZe are looking like one of the strongest pro league teams this year. The Faze clan is synonymous with pro league events across multiple different games. They also have the best match win and game win percentages in the league so far.
Chicago Home Series Betting Preview
Looking at the first game to kick off is between the London Royal Ravens and Atlanta FaZe. The Ravens look mediocre sitting in the middle of the table. London won’t be a favourite coming up against a team in the hottest form so far in the league. Atlanta Faze are (-630) here at Canplay to come out with the win. The odds are short, but the game is probably going to end that way.
Coming into the second matchup we see the Los Angeles Guerrillas take on Seattle Surge. Both teams are floating around the bottom of the regular season table. Seattle are in 10th place while Los Angeles sit at the bottom spot at 12th. Seattle Surge have that edge on the Guerrillas. As a result, get Seattle Surge as slight favourites at (-155) here at Canplay.
The third game sees OpTic Gaming LA take on Dallas Empire. OpTic are yet to get going this season. They have only attended three events, but they need to start getting some points on the board. On the other hand, Empire are on the top end of the table sitting in 3rd position. They very much look like the stronger of the two sides. In conclusion, you should take Dallas Empire for the win at (-200) with us at Canplay.
The final group game will see the New York Subliners take on the Chicago Huntsmen. New York are sitting second bottom in the rankings while Chicago are in the number one position. As well as playing in Chicago, the Huntsmen are at a big advantage going into this one. Take the Hunstmen at (-390) to get the win.
Not the most exciting Chicago Home Series betting preview for the opening rounds. Moving further into the competition will certainly develop a lot more uncertainty over who will come out on top. Just like everyone else we are hoping for that big clash between Atlanta Faze and the Chicago Huntsmen in this event.
